COVID-19 has resulted in a world-wide closure of all educational centers such as universities. Accordingly, teaching has changed drastically, taking place on digital platforms and remotely. Education has generally changed in most countries. Consequently, the education is moving from conventional to online or distance learning. Therefore, student performance is a key concern for management wherein numerous elements may have an impact on performance in this exceptional pandemic. Consequently, the application of information and communication technologies in education can result in an enhancement of the delivery of educational services provided by universities. The creation of an e-learning environment is not simply a technical matter. However, the success of such online education or distance learning it demands the consideration of several factors.

If we consider a student's learning experience as a composite of all experiences associated with completion of a course of study, there are a number of factors and attributes that can be addressed which will have impacted on the notion of performance in relation to the learning process. In assessing the overall quality of the online learning, it is necessary to consider many factors. These factors as limitations in any will necessarily impact on the online learning and subsequent learning outcomes. Recently, most of the educational managements, institutes and higher education institutions are concerned for student's performance in courses. Student performance is essential to help students retain and improve university ranking and manage learning resources. Obviously, academic achievement in every subject is a key need to help students draw up plans for the difficulties they encounter in education and support them to manage these obstacles.

The factors that one would typically consider in such explorations would include such factors, each factor can be divided into sub-factors, as:

  • Course: For example (the nature of the course itself, its objectives and aims and how well these fit within the online learning etc.).
  • Instructor: For example (influence of instructor and instructor skills etc.).
  • Student: For example (gender and field of studying etc.).
  • Infrastructure: For example (Internet, material and Hardware etc.). Thus more research is needed into the factors that affect the online learning in Coronavirus pandemic. Often these factors are assessed through questionnaires.

Online learning is convenient, flexible, and an opportunity to enhance your critical thinking and technological skills. The online learning is very important and a necessary component of a successful course, we have tended to reveal that other factors of often greater, importance are those associated with the delivery and implementation of the learning setting. In the main this area tends to be associated with the technology supporting the learning environment. The student and Instructor require a relatively high level of technical skills to ensure a smooth and problem-free learning experience. Education is one of the fields that has been greatly influenced because it is important for many people and in every world. Since students' opportunity to attend school and engage in group activities is restricted, learning, study, and exchange activities are mostly conducted online. Therefore, researchers need to be more effective today to determine the factors and attributes that affecting the online learning and distance learning in coronavirus pandemic. The question here, do barriers or factors to online learning to differ from country to country? From university to university? Culture to culture?.
