With modern technology, farmers can use computers or mobile devices to track their crops and monitor growth. They can also use precision agriculture to increase yields, reduce costs and reduce environmental impact. Technology also allows farmers to plan ahead and make decisions that will increase profits. For example, a farmer may decide to use less water or fertilizer on a particular crop, or they can use data to determine the best planting times and varieties of crop to maximize yield. New technologies also make it easier for farmers to sell their products directly to consumers, which can increase their profits. ‘The rate at which the population is increasing, the production of food grains will not be able to increase, and crores of people will starve to death.’- (Thomas Malthus, 1798)
