Safe drinking-water, sanitation and hygiene are the fundamental requirements for protect public health and well-being as it promotes and improves the standard of living, lifestyles, livelihoods, education, and dignity further creating resilient communities living in healthy environments. Numerous NTDs WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) diseases such as trachoma, jaundice, soil-transmitted helminths and schistosomiasis can also be prevented by healthy water and sanitation conditions.
