Abstract

Tenofovir disproxil fumarate is a nucleotide analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Tenofovir is an anti-retroviral drug which acts by blocking the reverse transcriptase enzyme that is necessary for the viral production in HIV-infected people. In the present study the authors have summarised the analytical techniques so far developed for the estimation of Tenofovir disproxil fumarate in pharmaceutical formulations as well as the biological fluids.

Keywords: Tenofovir Disproxil Fumarate; Spectrophotometry; HPLC; HPTLC; LC-MS
