Abstract

Tamsulosin is an alpha blocker used for the treatment of enlarged prostate (benign prostate enlargement) in men and occasionally used for the treatment of kidney stones and prostatitis. In the present study the authors have summarised the analytical techniques so far developed for the estimation of Tamsulosin in pharmaceutical formulations as well as the biological fluids.

Keywords: Tamsulosin; Spectrophotometry; HPLC; HPTLC; LC-MS/MS
