I Dr Daisy Joseph on behalf of the Acta Scientific Pharmaceutical Sciences would like to present this issue of the journal. Though an expert in EDXRF, PIXE, XANES, HHXRF, I have great exposure to all fields. I take this opportunity in saying that this journal is popular in all academic forums. Average download per article is increasing and on an average there are 50 downloads per paper. All these are promising signs. We could reach this stage through the constant support of Board Members of this journal and intellectual generosity of the readers and contributors (authors and reviewers). XRF has been a promising technique for testing the composition of alloys and metals, as well as other materials. Handheld XRF analyzers have the flexibility to test and measure most alloy components with varying sizes and shapes, from metal turnings to strands of metal wire. I have had the opportunity to use all the three kinds of probes, photons (XRF), (SIXRF), protons (PIXE) electrons (HHXRF) in analyzing a vast variety of samples in the different fields of Sciences such as Biosciences, Materials sciences, Geoscience, Forensic sciences, Gemology etc. and it is rather challenging to use any of these probes to unravel mysteries of the materials in a systematic way. I invite all academicians and researchers to read this volume of the journal, to get better exposure and to increase your scientific knowledge.
