Various osteotomy techniques and fixation methods have been used to correct distal femoral valgus. Accuracy of correction with a sharp maneuver with external fixator is the goal of fixator-assisted osteotomy of the distal femur. In this case report we describe a distal femur osteotomy technique assisted with a multiplanar external fixator. In our search, this is the first report in the literature of its use. This is a 48-year-old patient with lateral monocompartmental osteoarthritis of the left knee with distal articular femoral valgus. The deformity was corrected by corrective valgus osteotomy of the distal femur with a locked plate assisted with a multiplanar external fixator.
