Abstract

A rapid, specific RPHPLC technique has been developed for simultaneous resolve of risperidone and olanzapine. Drugs were subjected to stress conditions such as acidic, alkaline and oxidative hydrolysis. Chromatographic separation of these pure drugs was carried with a 50:50 (v:v) mixture of acetonitrile and Potassium Di Hydrogen Phosphate and 40:60 (v:v) mixture of acetonitrile and Potassium Di Hydrogen Phosphate Buffer as mobile stage. The current rate was 1.0 mL min-1 and the analysis was monitored at 235 nm by UV detection.

Keywords: Risperidone; Olanzapine; RP-HPLC; Acetonitrile; Potassium
