  Acta Scientific Computer Sciences is an Open-Access international Journal. Currently, computer sciences and related ICT are utilized in everyday activities. They include education, healthcare, government, as well as other numerous branches of the industry. Moreover, nowadays many people cannot imagine their lives without social media and streaming services. The widespread and availability of mobile and desktop devices, combined with the advance in both wired and wireless transmission, has an enormous impact on all of us. This forces engineers to pursue their interests, in order to design and develop novel technologies that can raise our quality of life. Today, due to the pandemic, more and more attention is gained by e.g. e-commerce, e-government, e-health, e-payment, etc. The Internet offers us unlimited access to information anytime and everywhere. Yet the gap between those individuals who can benefit from the modern era and those who cannot, referred to as the digital divide, is still present. I do hope that the lecture of Acta Scientific Computer Sciences will prove to be an inspiring source of information for a wide group of recipients.

  As an Academic, working at a Technical University, I encourage everyone to acquaint with our databases at the Gdansk University of Technology. The aim of the “Bridge of Knowledge” (in Polish “Most Wiedzy”) project is to increase the availability, coherence and possibility of reusing scientific resources. These resources, including scientific publications and data repositories of our Alma Mater employees, are available to scientists, entrepreneurs and the public in an open, simple and transparent form.
