Abstract

An intact thirteen-year-old female cocker spaniel dog with inappetence and sanguineous mucopurulent discharge from the vagina was clinically diagnosed with open cervix pyometra based on the history, clinical signs, laboratory, and radiographic examination. The dog was treated to full recovery without surgical intervention with a combination of oral medication, hormonal therapy, and intra-uterine treatment.
