Algeria is located in northern Africa, and is the largest country in the continent in terms of area. Its large area enabled it to diversify the vegetation cover and therefore animal.

Animals are distributed according to regions. We find in the north where the vegetation cover is dense and the presence of animals such as (cows, sheep, horses, goats). In the south, where the vegetation cover is less (thorny plants) (the desert) we find animals such as (camels and sheep) especially the ouled djellel in Biskra, which is considered one of the finest breeds in the word.
