Neuromuscular diseases (NMDs) are a broad category of illnesses that affect muscle function either directly through pathologies of the muscles or indirectly through pathologies of the nerves or neuromuscular junctions [1]. As a result of the progressive nature of NMDs, which can result in muscle spasticity or weakness, there is an increasing urgency for supportive devices as well as both medical and non-medical support
