Abstract

Vein of Galen malformations is found in 1% of all intracranial malformations. Although an aneurysm is only used for arterial lesions, a vein of Galen aneurysm is also not a misnomer. Vein of Galen malformations causes poor clinical outcomes with a 76.7% mortality rate if left untreated. In this article, we present the anatomy of the deep cerebral vein and a case of vein of Galen's aneurysmal malformation in a 57-year-old male patient.
