Acute Pulmonary Oedema in Aphasic Paraplegic Pt. on Dialysis

Male patient

Problems

  • Old age (90) years= feeble too weak → = needs assistance.
  • Paraplegic= cannot raise his hand to announce a complain.
  • Aphasic = cannot call for help.
  • H B V = hepatitis B virus → the only one machine for H B V. Patients in the isolated section in the dialysis unit. So, no way to shift to another machine
  • Cardiac → cannot tolerate high Suction pressure of the pump of the dialysis machine → together with history of repeated attacks of hypotension.

In Addition to the patient problems

The pump of the machines is not working properly& very old with no spare parts and needs calibration.
