Antonio Formisano is Aggregate Professor of Structural Design at the Department of Structures for Engineering and Architecture of the University of Naples Federico II. Since 2017 he received the qualification as Associate Professor. He is teacher within the International Masters “Emerging Technologies for Construction”, “Design of Steel” and “Sustainable Constructions under Natural Hazards and Catastrophic Events”. He was and is involved in several national and international research projects. He is editorial board member and reviewer of numerous international journals. Since 2015 he is member of the CEN/TC 250/SC9-T1 International Committee “Structural Eurocodes – Design of Aluminium Structures” - Project Team 2 for the phase 1 of the M/515 Mandate “Evolution of Structural Eurocodes”. He is author of more than 350 scientific papers, published on national and international journals and conference proceedings. He received several awards and public acknowledgements for his scientific research activity.
