Dr. Lesley C. Lubos has completed his PhD at the age of 28 years in Central Mindanao University, Philippines under a scholarship grant from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED –MAEP). He conducted his dissertation about Taxonomy and Diversity of Mosses in Selected Mountains in Mindanao in the National University of Singapore under Tan Chin Kee foundation NUS-RP grant. He is a Research Fellow (Life-time), Senior Fellow of Royal Institute of Biologists, and Senior Fellow of Royal Institute of Educators Singapore, Royal House, Singapore. He is also a member of international, national local academic and civic organizations. He passed the Scientific and Technological Specialist Eligibility PD997 Republic of the Philippines Civil Service Commission. Furthermore, Dr. Lubos is an Associate Professor in the Natural Sciences Department of Bukidnon State University in the Philippines and has published more than 22 papers in internationally reputed journals and has been serving as an Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Journal of Biodiversity (ISI Journal) and the Liceo Journal of Higher Education Research as well as an editorial board member in the International Journal of Biology (IJB) Canadian Center of Science and Education in Canada. He has travelled to Asia, Europe, USA, Canada, and New Zealand for research lectures, workshops, and educational experiences. He has made modules and he has translated his scientific studies to instructional materials. He has international travel grants; original creative outputs for pedagogical and advocacy purposes; original innovative teaching approaches; and involvements in co-curricular activities in various capacities as editor-in-chief, peer reviewer, research adviser, judge of various contests, team leader of research, panel member of oral research defenses, consultant to research papers and projects, chair and co-chair of committees in the areas of research, environment advocacy, arts and culture. He has taken advanced trainings in the Philippines, Singapore, China, Indonesia, Thailand, and USA related to biodiversity and conservation which enhanced his research and teaching expertise. He has professional involvements as lecturer, resource speaker, country paper presenter, head, and participant in the Philippines and abroad.
Dr. Lesley C. Lubos’ research interests are biodiversity, plant systematics, plant growth and development, climate change and environment, mosquito dengue, and other health related research studies.
