Dr. Shankar Meti had his B.Sc (Agri) degree from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, India in 1989 and then earned M.Sc (Agri) degree in Agronomy discipline in 1993 from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. Earned PhD degree from Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur, Kerala, India in Agronomy during 2013. He was appointed as Scientist in Rubber Research Institute of India, Kottayam, Kerala from 1994-2013 and then joined as Assistant Professor (Agronomy) in University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot, Karnataka India since 2013 till now. He has more than 50 research papers in the field of Agronomy, crop production, Remote sensing and GIS and guided the two M.Sc (Horticulture) students.
Dr. Shankar Meti’s areas of research interest are Agronomy, Crop production, climate change, Remote sensing and GIS, Geospatial analysis and cropping system.
