Dr. Ibrahim Hmmam had his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Agricultural Sciences (Major: Pomology) from Cairo University, Egypt in 2007 and 2011, respectively. He got his Ph.D. in Crop Science from University of Padova, Italy in March, 2017. He was appointed as Assistant Professor at Pomology Dept., Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University since May, 2017 till now. His expertise is mainly related to horticultural science and biotechnology (Genetics and Genomics).
Dr. Ibrahim Hmmam research interests are plant stress responses, micropropagation, utilization of molecular markers for assessing the genetic diversity and gene expression analysis. The main research interest of his career has been focused on horticultural trees such as olive and grapevine in terms of their growing technology and their genetic and genomic research.
