Champaklal J. Joshi is postgraduate in Horticulture with specialization in Fruit Science from Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari, Gujarat. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Horticulture, C. P. College of Agriculture, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar, Gujarat. He has also experience of working at RK University, Rajkot and Parul University, Vadodara. He has completed his graduation and post graduation in Horticulture from ASPEE College of Horticulture & Forestry, NAU, Navsari in 2015 and 2017 respectively. Along with, he successfully cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Fruit Science conducted by ASRB, ICAR. He has done a post graduate research on ‘Effect of different chemicals on germination and seedling growth of Chironji (Buchanania lanzan Spreng.)’ to generate healthy planting material for such important underutilized fruit. Until now, he has published 6 research papers in prestigious international journals and 2 review papers in renowned journals. With a view to improve teaching methods for generation of skilled agriculture professionals, he published his full length review paper on topic ‘Urgency of Innovation in Indian Agriculture Pedagogy’ in the souvenir of first National Youth Convention on Attracting and Retaining Youth in Agriculture (ARYA) organized by ICAR. He is very enthusiastic to work for the overall development of farming community of country.
