Dr. Jiangkuan Cui, the lecturer of Plant Pathology in Henan Agricultural University (HAU). HAU grew out of Henan Imperial College (Henan Da Xue Tang), which was founded in 1902 and located at Zhengzhou of Henan province, China. Henan is the biggest and most important food crop producing region and the wheat production of Henan is more than 25% of total wheat production of China. I obtained my B.S. Degree at Henan Agricultural University (HAU) in China in 2011, and completed my M.S. and Ph.D. with Prof. Deliang Peng, the President of Chinese Society for Plant Nematologists, at the Institute of Plant Protection of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in China in July 2014 and 2017, respectively. With strong hands-on laboratory experience and a world of experience on the field test planning, until now, I had published 4 patent applications and 26 more papers on the plant parasitic nematode (PPN), especially on the cereal cyst nematodes (CCN). My research area specializes in plant parasitic nematode and my current research is focused on the cyst nematode (Heterodera spp.) genome and transcriptome analysis, CCN resistance identification, genome-wide association studies for CCN resistance, and plant parasitic nematode (Meloidogyne spp., Heterodera spp., Globodera spp. and Pratylenchus spp.) field control. I am looking forward to and willing to cooperate with anybody from anywhere, and I am always believing that: life is a mirror, you smile upon it; it smiles back upon you.
Dr. Jiangkuan Cui Research interests are Heterodera spp. genome and transcriptome analysis Characterization of putative effectors from Heteodera spp. Phenotype and cellular response of wheat lines to CCN Genome-wide association studies for CCN resistance Efficacy evaluation of seed-coating compounds against PPN on wheat Integrated control of the PPN in greenhouse
