Dr. Nguyen Dang Giang Chau is a lecturer in Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Hue University of Sciences, Hue City, Vietnam. Her position is Vice head of Analytical Chemistry Section concurrently Laboratory manager. She holds a doctorate degree in Agricultural Science awarded by Univeristy of Bonn, Germany (in 2015), a master degree (2010) and a bachelor degree (2007) in Analytical Chemistry awarded by Hue University, Vietnam. She used to be a researcher for 4 years (2011 – 2015) at the United Nations University - Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) based in Bonn, Germany during conducting her PhD project, which targeted on risk assessment for drinking water quality in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, within the framwork of the German-Vietnamese WISDOM project. Chau also conducted several projects related to i) assessment of lake and river water quality; ii) pesticide residues in water, sediment, biota, breast milk. Currently Chau is the principal investigator of the project Multi-residue quantification and dissipation of some new-generation pesticides in vegetables, funded by the National foundation for science and technology development (NAFOSTED), Vietnam.
