Dr. Maryam Mansour Almandil Started his Professional Career as a Clinician after Awarded BSc in Physical Therapy from Kuwait University. • Had more than nine years of clinical experience in the Armed Forces Hospital in Kuwait with a year of specialization residency in Ministry of Health • Awarded a scholarship from Kuwait University where she completed MSc from College of Medicine, Wales, United Kingdom and PhD from University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. • Worked as assistant professor in Kuwait University, Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. Throughout the sixteen years of Academic experience, she fulfilled roles in teaching, community service and research. Primary teaching areas were electrotherapy and electrophysical agents, patient care, pathokinesiology, independent study. She has also supervised senior undergraduate students in their final year projects; three of these projects were chosen as best projects in the Allied Health Sciences poster day. Also, acted as a Director of undergraduate clinical education for more than 6 years. • Former general Secretary of the Kuwait Physical Therapy Association. • Former Head of Physical Therapy Department, Allied Health Sciences in Kuwait University • Executive Board member in the International Society for Electro physical Agents in Physical Therapy- Official Sub group of World physiotherapy • Conducted many Continuous Professional Development courses for Ministry of Health in Kuwait in areas of “electrophysical agents” and “teaching undergraduate students in clinical setting”. • Has presented her research in international physical therapy conferences. • Published articles in local and international journals along with chapters in two international books; Elsevier publication.
