Dr. Devendra Pathak is a veterinary graduate from Madras Veterinary College Chennai (TANUVAS, Chennai), and obtained his master’s degree (Veterinary Anatomy) from CCSHAU, Hisar, and Ph.D. (Veterinary Anatomy) from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. He earned the Junior Research Fellowship from ICAR, New Delhi during his M.V.Sc. and was awarded the best M.V.Sc. thesis award and medal by the Indian Association of Veterinary Anatomists (IAVA). Presently Dr. Pathak is working as a Senior Scientist, Veterinary Anatomy, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. He has experience of more than 15 years of research, teaching, and extension and has guided 03 masters’ students as a major advisor and acted as co-advisor for 20 master’s and Ph.D. students. The area of his research interest has been reproductive morphology, hormonal receptors in relation to the level of circulating hormone and seasons, and testicular stem cells. Dr. Pathak was visiting scientist at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada for three months. He developed sketch and animation-based teaching aid for Veterinary Anatomy. He has published 115 research articles in journals of national and international repute, one book chapter, 08 extension articles, and 06 laboratory manuals. He earned three extramural research grants as a principal investigator (UGC, ICAR, and DST) and was associated with two research projects as a co-investigator. He has presented several research papers at various national and international conferences and has won the Young Scientist Award and 20 presentation/poster awards. Dr. Pathak also received an international travel grant for attending the conference at the University of Calgary, Canada. He is also a recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award, Alumni Association, College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU, Ludhiana. He acted as a reviewer for various international and national journals. He has delivered several lectures in various training and workshops. He is a member of several scientific/professional societies and earned an Associateship from the National Academy of Veterinary Science (India) in 2019 and an Associate Fellowship of the National Academy of Dairy Sciences (India) in 2020. He has organized several webinars /training courses and a national e-conference for students and faculty.
