Dr. Chethan, K. P, obtained B.V.Sc & A.H. in 2005 from Veterinary College, Hebbal, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. M.V.Sc in 2008 in the field of Animal Nutrition from Indian Veterinary Research institute, Bareilly, Izatnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. Completed Ph.D in Animal Nutrition from Veterinary College, Hebbal, Bangalore, Karnataka, India which is a constituent college of Karnataka Veterinary Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, Bidar, Karnataka, India. He has secured 3rd rank in the all-India entrance exam conducted by ICAR, in the year 2006, recipient of ICAR-Junior Research Fellowship for M.V.Sc in Animal Nutrition and qualified ICAR-Senior Research Fellowship. During his post-graduation he worked on “Effect of Fumaric acid Supplementation on Nutrient utilization and Methane Production in Goats†During his Ph.D Programme he worked on the topic entitled “Nutritional evaluation of Hydroponic maize fodder for its Potential as Ruminant feed stuff by in vitro and in vivo methods†in Collaboration with ICAR-NIANP, Audogodi, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. In 2012, he joined Karnataka Veterinary animal and Fisheries Sciencies University, Bidar as Assistant Professor of Animal Nutrition. He is life member of professional organizations like Karnataka veterinary Council, Bengaluru, Karnataka Veterinary Association, Bengaluru, Kannada Pashuvidya sahitya parishat, Shimoga, Animal Nutrition Association, Bareilly, India and Animal Nutrition Society of India, Karnal, India. Served as Assistant Professor in Animal Husbandry Polytechnic, Shiggaon, Haveri, Karnataka,which is affiliated college of KVAFSU, Bidar, for Three years. Presently working as Associate Professor (i/c) in Department of Livestock Farm Complex, Veterinary College, Gokula Campus, Vidyanagar, Hassan, which is affiliated college of KVAFSU, Bidar, Karnataka, India.
