Dr. Nagaraj Subramani completed his Post Graduatedegree (MSc) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Botany from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu, India. Subsequently, he registered Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Botany (Specialization in Algology) under the mentorship of the legendary eminent Indian Phycologist Prof. R. Rengasamy in the year 2007. He had published 45 research articles in peer-reviewed journals with good impact factors and three books for his credits. He was awarded Doctor of Philosophy in 2011 besides cleared the State Eligibility Test for Lectureship (UGC-SET) in 2012. He also received the Indian prestigious award of Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellow under University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. Nagaraj Subramani was awarded INSA - Visiting Scientist Fellow, 2018 by Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi. He also received International Visiting Scientist Fellowship under SERB. At present, he is guiding four PhD, scholars they are working with algae and two more student has awarded Ph.D., degree. In addition, he has guided about 10 M.Phil. Scholars at CAS in Botany, University of Madras, India. Currently, he is working with three major research projects on algae funded by DST-SERB, UGC, and MoEF&CC, India.
