Dr. Richie R Bhandare

Biography

Dr. Richie R. Bhandare has got his PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from School of Pharmacy, Temple University, USA in 2013. Prior to joining Ajman University as an Assistant Professor in Medicinal Chemistry in 2017, he was working as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at NMIMS University, Mumbai, India for 3 years from 2013-2016. He has 6 years of teaching and research experience having a blend of national and international exposure. He has guided 7 Master's student and 20 undergraduate students in their project. He has been awarded one US patent, published 3-book chapters published in Springer, 11 publications and 15 presentations in various conferences. He was awarded with the best poster presentation at the International Conference on Pure and Applied Chemistry, Mauritius in 2014 and best innovative poster at DUPHAT (Dubai) in March 2018. While working in India, he had managed to secure a grant from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of India. Currently he is associated with various seed grants funded by Ajman University. He was awarded Master's degree in Medicinal natural products in 2004 and Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Mumbai, India in 2002.



Research Interest's

Dr. Richie Bhandare’s research interests include green synthesis of nanoparticles, microwave assisted organic/nanoparticle synthesis, organic reaction method development, muscarinic and serotonergic ligand design and evaluation
