Milind Shrinivas Dangate was born on January 18 and brought up in India. He studied organic chemistry at the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (M.Sc., 2002, M. J. College); initial trainings with Insecticides and residue testing wing, Pune ‘Estimation of the food products for export quality using advanced analytical instruments’ further at OCT, CSIR’s National Chemical Laboratory, Pune ‘Design & Synthesis of New Entities as Potential Antifungal Agents’ got industrial exposure with Hikal and LeedsKem (worked on different projects in R&D and plant) University of Milan Ph.D. 2009 ‘Synthesis of Sulfoquinovosylacylglycerol as a New Molecule for Tumor Treatment’ He moved to the University of Milano-Bicocca after postdoctoral appointments ‘Synthesis of conjugated monomers with general structure D-π-A-π- D for synthesis of low band gap polymers for DSC Synthesis of conjugated electron rich polymers for explosive detection. involves design, synthesis and characterization of organic and organometallic materials and devices for photovoltaics, photonics and optoelectronics and University of Milan, he joined the Institute of Molecular Sciences and Technologies of the National Research Council ‘Synthesis of Biofuels by Using Solid Acid Catalysis’. He wasted his four years of time working with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham as Assistant Professor (Selection grade) from (2014-2018) during the tenure he was PI for Startup research grants scheme for Young Scientists by SERB/DST and awarded as Bhaskara Fellow by Indo-USA Science and Technology Forum. He was a visiting faculty to Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO USA (2015-2019). Presently he is working with Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in Chemistry Division and as an assistant director student’s welfare as additional responsibility (2018-Till Date).
