Mr Bijayanta Sircar just joined his PhD in Zoology under the supervision of Dr Shyamapada Mandal, Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Gour Banga, India. He has got his MPhil in Zoology (on June 20, 2018) under the guidance of Dr Shyamapada Mandal, Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Gour Banga, India. During that period he succeeded to publish seven research articles and a review article and attend different (State level, National and International) conferences in Microbiology and Pharmaceutical field. Besides, he has got an award grant for one year, funded from the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI), India (August 2016 - July 2017). He has achieved his Bachelor degree in Zoology (in 2012) and in Education (on September 08, 2015) from different affiliated colleges under University of Gour Banga, India. He also acquired his Master degree in Zoology from the same University on October 30, 2014. Furthermore, he obtained a lot of awards e.g., the best article of the issue (Biosynthesis of Elaeocarpus floribundus Mediated Silver Nanoparticles with Broad Antibacterial Spectrum, Volume 1 Issue 3 September 2017) which was certified by ‘Acta Scientific Pharmaceutical Sciences’, the best poster presentation in a review on ‘Mushroom: Medicinal Properties, Biological Activity and Chemistry’ in National level Seminar on Current Research in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Malda, West Bengal, India (February 9, 2016). Since 2015, he served as managing editor of 'Biological and Biomedical Science Bulletin', a scientific journal from the Department of Zoology, University of Gour Banga, India.
Mr Bijayanta Sircar, Research interest include Phytochemicals; Phytomedicines; Toxicity test; Nano-Biotechnology; Medical Microbiology; Public health; Food science; Molecular epidemiology of bacterial drug resistance; Infectious diseases (bacterial, viral and parasitic); Vector control and management; and Bioremediation.
