Dr. Robert Lucia is the inpatient clinical coordinator at the pediatric and adult cystic fibrosis centers at Children’s Hospital of Illinois and OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. He received his Doctorate in Family Practice from Bradley University and did his training at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria in conjunction with the University of Illinois- College of Medicine Peoria. Additionally, he received his BSN from Methodist College and is Masters of Arts from Bradley University. He is faculty staff at both Bradley University and Methodist College. His career started at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois in 2010 in the Department of Pediatric Palliative Care. He later joined the Cystic Fibrosis team in 2015 and has been managing the inpatient consult service since.
Dr. Robert’s research interests include pediatric pain management, management of complex medical needs in the school setting, cystic fibrosis, eradication of MRSA in pulmonary patients, pulmonary infection control, and the medical transition of pediatric patients to adult care.
