Dr. Juliana Mata, University of BrasÃlia, Brazil earned her doctoral degree at University of São Paulo, Brazil in 1999 and completed her residency training in Pediatrics and fellowship/residency training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of São Paulo. She holds a master's degree in Pediatric Oncology - University of São Paulo (2004) and PhD in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, both at University of São Paulo (2008). Her fellowships include: rotation in Hematology/Oncology at St Jude's Children Research Hospital in Memphis (USA), joined the 2004 Post Graduate Course of Amsterdam School of Paediatric Oncology (ASPO) in Netherlands, took part of the 2005 Master Class of Amsterdam School of Paediatric Oncology, Netherlands and trained at the Pediatric Oncology Molecular Biology Lab at Università di Milano-Bicocca, Bicocca, Italy (2006). Currently, she is assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at University of BrasÃlia. She is the Head of lato sensu post-graduation programs at the University Hospital of University of BrasÃlia, Brazil. She also is the Head of the realistic simulation center at the same University Hospital. She is an active associate member of International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) and former board member of Brazilian Society of Pediatric Oncology (2012). She has been former Head of Pediatric Oncology Dept of Hospital de Cancer de Barretos, the largest cancer hospital in Brazil. She has served as a member of several grant review/special emphasis panels and boards. She is highly skilled in assistance, teaching, clinical research and simulation-based medical education.
