Subodh Kumar Samrat has more than 14 years of scientific experience in planning designing, managing, and executing in fields of Immunology, Biochemistry, Virology, and Molecular biology. He had completed his Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Canada in Viral Immunology in 2013. His Ph.D. work involves analysis of the immune response by hepatitis C virus-derived antigens. Further, he moved to the USA at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan to work with host-pathogen interaction as a post-doctoral fellow where he found out how HSV-1 ICP0 differential recognizes and degrades serval cellular substrates. Currently, he is working at the University of Arizona, Arizona, USA as a Research Scientist III. Currently, he is investigating the small molecule inhibitors and nanobodies as therapeutics against SARS-CoV-2 and Flaviviruses.
