Dr. Sonali Nashine holds a Doctorate in Biomedical Sciences with a major in Visual Sciences. Her doctoral dissertation involved the study of apoptotic proteins in retinal cell death in Glaucoma and Retinitis Pigmentosa disease models. Currently, her research is focused on screening of drugs, small molecules, and natural compounds to discover promising candidates for treatment of age-related macular degeneration.
Dr. Nashine's primary research interest is identification of potential therapeutic candidates for retinal degenerative diseases.
