Dr. Zuraini Mat Issa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Foodservice Management at Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Kampus Puncak Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. She obtained Bachelor of Science (hons.) in Agriculture and Food Science specializing in Food Science at University of Nottingham, United Kingdom and a Master of Science in Food Microbiology at Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. She earned Ph.D. in Nutrition Programme/Policy at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. She has over 15 years of experience in teaching and research in food safety, nutrition, food science and food toxicology. She has been awarded Excellent Service Awards twice by the Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2007 and 2011
Dr. Zuraini Mat Issa’s interested fields of research are Molecular Biology, Food Microbiology, Food Science, Nutrition, Food Safety, Food Toxicology, Foodservice Management and other hospitality research areas. Her present research focuses on multidisciplinary research related to health and well-being and also on food waste management in foodservice and hospitality industries.
