Dr. Soumitra Banerjee (PhD, IIT Kharagpur-India) is working at “Center for Incubation, Innovation, Research & Consultancy” (CIIRC), Jyothy Institute of Technology Bengaluru, Karnataka (India), as Assistant Professor (Food Technology). He had completed B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) from College of Dairy Technology, under Indira Gandhi Agricultural University-Raipur, Chhattisgarh (India). He did his Post Graduation (MS) from Agricultural and Food Engineering Department, under Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, West Bengal (India), with specialization in Food Processing and Preservation. After that, he joined for Ph.D. program under the same department where he had worked on the area of “Mechanization of Cashew Nut Processing”, sponsored by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (New Delhi, India). After completion of doctoral program, he was appointed as Assistant Professor at Food Technology Department, in Jain University (Bengaluru, India). He has years of research, teaching, training experiences and has acquired knowledge in the field of food and dairy processing. He had published papers, book chapters and had presented papers in conferences & symposiums of national and international repute.
