Asst. Prof. Dr. Prerna Agarwal is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology at Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. She received MBBS (2008) and MD in Physiology (2013) from Gujarat University. During her academic experience of more 11 years now, including senior residency at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, she has authored several articles, including original research papers, reviews, and commentaries published in indexed international journals, and books, Objectively Structured Practical Examination (OSPE) in Physiology, Practical Book in Physiology as per CBME curriculum for First MBBS students, Early clinical Exposure Module- Physiology. She has obtained several copyrights from the Government of India. She is trained in medical education technology and biomedical research. She is a life member of different national professional bodies and associations.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Prerna Agarwal takes keen interest in improvising teaching learning experience for students and teachers alike as well as in applied physiology in chronic non-communicable diseases, obesity, diabetes mellitus, etc. Her areas of work so far include use of concept maps as a tool of assessment in the Indian medical education context, anemia in obesity, medical professionalism, sleep and face recognition memory, and diabetes mellitus type 2.
