Dr. Maqshoof Ahmad did his Ph.D. in Soil Science (Soil Microbiology and Biochemistry) from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He has also won Post-Doctoral Research Training at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences in the Tropics, University of Hohenheim, Germany; jointly fund by The University of Hohenheim and the AVRDC- the World Vegetable Center, Taiwan. He has five (07) years of research and teaching experience. He is also life member of Soil Science Society of Pakistan and served as member of the Executive Council of Soil Science Society of Pakistan for the session 2011-2012. Dr. Maqshoof has received a number of national and international research trainings from world known organizations. Ten post-graduate scholars also have completed their dissertation work under direct supervision of Dr. Ahmad. He is among the reviewers panel of a number of International Research journals including Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, Acta Physiologia Plantarum, Microbial Ecology, Pakistan Journal of Agricultural Sciences, Scientia Hort., Soil & Environment and many others.
Dr. Ahmad has experience in stress agriculture, microbial ecology, plant-microbe interactions, and solid waste management. He is author of five book chapters and 41 research papers in highly reputed International Journals with total impact factor of more than 35. He has completed three research projects and currently working in 4 research projects funded by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, EFS-UAF, International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), USA and the world vegetable center, Taiwan. In acknowledgement of his services, Dr. Ahmad has been awarded the research productivity award by Pakistan Council of Science and Technology, Government of Pakistan.
