Dr. Reham Abdel-Wahab is a Lecturer and Consultant of Clinical Oncology at Assiut University since 2015. She obtained her MD and PhD degrees from Assiut University. She is the Chief Scientific Officer of the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation in USA and the Represenetive Chief Executive Officer of the Clinical Oncology Department at Assiut University for the Union of International Cancer Control (UICC). She has prior research experience in Canada and Denmark in 2011, and then she joined the Department of Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer center as a postdoctoral fellow for 5 years from 2013 until 2018 after being awarded a joint supervision scholarship from the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education to complete her PhD thesis. Furthermore, she is the recipient of the 2018 ASCO Global Young Investigator Award, the 2017 MD Anderson Cancer Center Marion Edwards Fellowship Award in Hepatic Oncology, the 2013 leadership award from the American University of Beirut/Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center course of oncologic sciences, and the 2012 ESTRO technology transfer grant. So far, she published 20+ original articles, 50+ abstracts in national and international conferences. She is on the editorial board of many journals and has a lengthy record of 100+ peer reviews in several well-recognized oncology journals and the 2018 ASCO Educational book confirming her status as a trusted researcher.
