Dr Pérez-BarberÃa holds a degree in Biology, he has a long career appointed as scientist ecologist with ample expertise in ecology and evolution of ungulate species. He has led research projects in different European countries and received an award for his dedication to the formation of young scientists. He is actually working as researcher at the University of Castilla-La Mancha and Institute for Game and Wildlife Research (Spain).
Dr. Javier Perez-Barberia is interested in dental functional traits of ungulates, as are those related to chewing efficiency and diet adaptation, and in the relationships between dental morphology and life-history traits using evolutionary comparative methods and statistical modelling.
