Dr. Meltem Koray is graduated from Istanbul University, and she worked as Faculty of Dentistry in 1989. In 1995 she received her first PhD which was titled ‘The effects of flourides and/or trace elements on the solubilities of enamel and cementum’ at the Department of Restorative Dentistry in the same dentistry faculty. After her first PhD, Dr.Koray studied at the Department of Oral Diagnosis and Radiology between 1996-2001. In 2008 she received her second PhD which was titled ‘The evaluation of oral health related quality of life and anxiety values in patients with active or inactive minor recurrent apthous stomatitis†at the Department of Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine in the same dentistry faculty. In 2010 she gained Associate Professor degree at the department of Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine at Istanbul University, Faculty of Dentistry. She is a member of TAOMS (Turkish Society of Oral Medicine and Turkish Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons), EAOM (European Association of Oral Medicine), IJOMS (International Journal of Oral an Maxillofacial Surgery) and ACBID (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society). She still works in the same department as an Associate Professor. She has authored more than 70 articles and her articles cited over 250 times.
