Dr. Shunyou Gong is the director of Hematology and Hematopathology at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, the primary teaching hospital of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. Dr. Gong’s clinical interests and areas of expertise include pediatric hematopoietic malignancies, inherited bone marrow failure syndromes, and bleeding or thrombotic disorders. As first-author or corresponding author he has published many landmark papers on prestigious journals including Cell, Blood, and American Journal of Surgical Pathology. Dr. Gong has contributed 6 chapters in 3 books published by Springer and Cambridge University Press. As an internationally recognized expert in pediatric hematologic disorders, Dr. Gong has lectured widely on cutting-edge topics such as EBV-positive marginal zone lymphoma, pediatric high-grade lymphoma, and inherited bone marrow failure syndromes. Dr. Gong is a regular reviewer for prestigious medical journals such as Blood, Modern Pathology, and American Journal of Surgical Pathology.
