Vladimir Zaichick is a Medical Physicist and Researcher. He defended his MS dissertation in 1966 in the Moscow Institute of Engineering Physics. His PhD (nuclear physics) was completed from Institute of Biophysics, Moscow, and his DSc degree (radiobiology) and academic rank “Professor of Radiobiology†from Medical Radiological Research Center, Obninsk, Russia, where he work from 1966. He is a member of the Scientific Council on Analytical Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the British Royal Society of Chemistry and Chartered Chemist (since 1996), and a member of some other Scientific Societies. He has worked as an invited researcher in Canada, Greece, Israel, South Korea, as an invited professor in China, and has made about 200 presentations at seminars and international meetings. He has published more than 300 papers in reputed journals and 19 patents. He is serving as an editorial board member of few scientific journals.
The field of my competence and interest in oncology is: - chemical element contents in tissues and fluids as tumor markers, - role of chemical elements in etiology and pathogenesis of tumors.
