Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh born in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh (INDIA) on January 2nd 1977. He has completed his doctorate entitled “Isolation and characterization of secondary metabolites of some selected fungi as herbicide of M. P.†from Mycological Research Laboratory, Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur. Presently, he is working as Principal Scientist & Head R&D at A.G. Bio Systems Private Limited. He has fair knowledge in Mycology, Fungal taxonomy and Plant Pathology. He is an agricultural scientist and microbiologist with particular expertise in biopesticide development and biological control with fungi. His research area are general plant pathology, biological control of plant diseases, insect and weed management, and microbial pesticides. His research career has concerned with plant pathology understanding the relationships between plants and their disease. Since his Ph D with my research teams I am involved in ecological solutions to weed problems. Then he began investigations into the potential use of indigenous or naturally occurring fungal pathogens and their metabolites for weed control. His research led to my invention of patents and he is a innovator of 24 patents (21 International and 3 national) for the novel use of a fungus for weed control. He is also focused on formulation of bioherbicides and other biopesticide. Currently he is also Principal Investigator of a research project on the biological control of different weeds funded by BIRAC DBT, India. He has a proven track record of innovative research through achievements, publications and/or patents and understanding commercialization processes from lab scale to pilot scale (scale-up). He is deep industrial research and development experience with fermentation, culture development, microbiology, including implementation into industrial processes is required. He is also strong knowledge of microbial systems, physiology and cellular metabolism, coupled with practical knowledge of process engineering and plant operations. He is strong organizational and analytical skills, including data management, analysis, and communication.
