Dr. Suresh Kumar Devarajulu is an Agricultural Economist currently working as Professor of Agricultural Economics, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India. He have about 23 years of experience in conducting agricultural economics research on wide range of areas such as research prioritization, agro-forestry development, impact assessment of watershed development programmes, role of institutions in natural resource management and poverty reduction and various issues on water resources. At present, He was involved in policy oriented research on water resources issues particularly watershed management, tank irrigation management and groundwater. He was also involved in teaching Post Graduate students and outreach activities. He have published 5 books as author/co-author, 21 bulletins, 27 book chapters and 52 research papers in various national and international journals. In recognition of my teaching, He have been awarded ICAR Best Teacher Award, 1999, given by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India. He have developed a computer-based model for watershed impact evaluation, named as WADIAM. He won D.K.Desai Prize Award 2004 given by Indian Society of Agricultural Economics, Mumbai and Japanese Award for Outstanding Research on Development 2005 given by the Global Development Network (GDN). He received Best Researcher Award 2006 given by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and 2009 Endeavour Executive Award given by the Australian Government and Recognition Award (2010) for Research Contribution by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.3, India. Also received Dr.R.T.Joshi Foundation Award (2010) for Best Research Paper published in Agricultural Economics Research Review, 2010. Recently, received Best Research Paper Award (2017) from the Indian Association of Soil and Water Conservationists, India. He visited countries like Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Dubai, Russia, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, China, Australia, Nepal relating to academic and research activities. Grants received from different international and national organizations. They include South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE), Global Development Network (GDN), International Foundation for Science (IFS), Sweeden, Monash University, Malaysia, Institute of Developing Economies (IDE), Japan, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Ford Foundation, Government of India, New Delhi, State Planning Commission, Government of Tamil Nadu, Institute of Water Studies, Government of Tamil Nadu, Indian National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (INCID), He acted as consultant to PA Consulting Group, USA, International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Sri Lanka and South Asian Network of Economic Research Institute (SANEI), Bangladesh. Recently identified as Australian Awards Trusted Mentor by the Australian High Commission, New Delhi, India.
