Dr. Martha Elisa Ferreira de Almeida is a Adjunct Professor of the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), Rio Paranaíba Campus, Brazil. She obtained Bachelor in Nutrition from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), a Master in Agrochemistry from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), and Ph.D in Agrochemistry and Agrobiochemistry from Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). She serves as an Editorial board member of more than 10 international Journals.
Prof. Dr. Martha Elisa Ferreira de Almeida is interested fields of research are Biochemistry, Experimental Nutrition and Human Nutrition. Her present research focuses on searching for biological agents of plants to use as alternatives to control animal and human diseases caused by obesity. She have experience in Experimental Nutrition, with emphasis in obesity in mice.
