Prof. Dr. Surendra Kumar Verma worked as the Chief Investigator, Indigenous Drug Research Centre, Dept. of Medicine R.N.T. Medical College Udaipur for more than 30 years and significantly contributed in the field of Medicinal Plant Research pertaining to extensive scientific scanning of various herbs, condiments and spices in relation to cardio-vascular health and diseases in experimental atherosclerosis model in animals and on coronary risk parameters in man with CAD during last 35 years. He published more than 90 research articles in reputed National and International Journals. He have written two books and handled research projects financed by ICMR, Danish Development Agency (DANIDA), Denmark and Spice Board of India, Cochin. He has been awarded Fellowships by 13 scientific bodies and invited for guest lectures in 16 International and 19 National conferences. He was successfully guided two research scholars for PhD, three students for MD Ayurveda and 80 students for MD Medicine Degree. He have been in the editorial board of many national and international journals.
