Prof. Dr.-Ing. Diego Lujan Villarreal received his Master of Science in Microelectronics and Microsystems from the Hamburg University of Technology, Hamburg, Germany in 2010 and his Ph.D in Engineering specialized in Medical Electronics from the Hamburg University of Technology, Hamburg, Germany in 2017. He has been professor in Biomedical Engineering and Mechatronics at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education since 2018. He has authored 10 research publications in peer-reviewed National and International journals and conferences. Has contributed with 2 international patents of medical devices. He has worked with the Cellular Therapy Department in the School of Medicine at ITESM, Monterrey, Mexico
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Diego Lujan Villarreal research interest are theoretical and simulation models of dynamical stimulation of physiological systems including epi- and sub retinal neuro stimulation, heart cardiovascular system, respiratory system, muscular and nervous system; and optimal energy-saving algorithms of neuro stimulation.
