Prof. Nguyen Hay, who is currently working for the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Nong Lam University – Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, has been recognized as a well-known researcher in the agricultural engineering field with more than 90 publications on reputable journals and conferences, and 5 books. He has served in the editorial board of several local and international journals. He has also organized and chaired many international conferences, which are in cooperation with University of California, Davis-US, University of Queensland-Australia and many other prestigious universities, on some important issues in the world including sustainable agriculture and environment, advanced plasma technology and applications – agriculture and biotechnology by plasma, agricultural and bio-system engineering. Prof. Hay supervised over 70 students at master and PhD level. He has got many leading projects from both Vietnamese government and international institutions; and has achieved a substantial number of research awards. He is also a member of several state organizations regarding the field of agricultural engineering. Prof. Hay has attended many training courses in agricultural engineering in many foreign countries. Throughout his research career, he has built up the relationship with a huge number of international scholars and universities around the world. His typical studies are Study on Designing and Manufacturing a Radio-Frequency Generator Used in Drying Technology and Efficiency of a Radio Frequency-Assisted Heat Pump Dryer in Drying of Ganoderma Lucidum; Thermal Diffusivity, Moisture Diffusivity, and Color Change of Codonopsis Javanica with the Support of the Ultrasound for Drying; and Effects of different drying techniques on drying characteristics and quality of dried Moringa Oleifera leaves.
