Prof. Abdelkrim Berroukche, Researcher-teacher and lecturer in Biology Department, Faculty of Science, Saida University, Algeria, 2007-till now. Head of research team “Valorization of Plant Sources†since 2017; researcher-member at Laboratory of Vectorology and Anticancer Therapeutics, UMR8203-CNRS-University Paris-Sud-Gustave Roussy-Paris-Sacley University, France, since 2018. Head of research project “Protective effects of Algerian medicinal plants against toxicity of certain heavy metals as cadmium, copper and chrome in occuptionel field†approved by CNEPRU (National Commission for the Evaluation of University Research Projects), Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Algeria, since 2016. Member of Algerian Society of Nutrition (ASN), since 2012. He started his career in secondary education, 1990-2006; He got his PhD, Sidi-Bel-Abbes University, 2012; Magister degree, Sidi-Bel-Abbes University, 2006, in cell biology, Oncology; Bachelor from Oran University, 1985; He has contributed in 3 research projects, attended more than 50 international and national conferences, supervised and still supervising 21 Master and 6 PhD theses. He has 30 publications and contributed in 3 books. Peer-reviewer in several scientific journals.
Prof. Abdelkrim Berroukche research work focuses on the extraction of essential oils, preparation of plant alcohol extracts, purification and identification of bioactive compounds from aromatic and medicinal plants and assessment of antibacterial activities of polyphenols, tanins, flavonoids extracted from essential oils and plant aqueous extracts.
