Dr. Pratima Gupta is currently working as Professor & Head department of Microbiology and and Dean Research at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. She acquired her MBBS degree from Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College ,Kolkata in the year 1992. She completed her MD (Microbiology) from Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College , AMU in the year 1995. She has done her Fellowship in HIV Medicine from MAMC, New Delhi and Certificate Course on HIV/AIDS and Family Education from IGNOU. She is the member of National Academy of Medical Sciences and Fellow, Academy of General Education 2015- Manipal Academy of General Education, Manipal. She has conducted research on a wide range of subjects like HIV, STI/RTI,Dengue, Scrub typhus hospital infection control, antibiotic resistance, biocide resistance and viral hepatitis. She has around 100 international and national publications in peer reviewed journals. She is a resource faculty for Uttarakhand for HIV, STI/RTI. She has guided more than 20 MD/MS and PhD Thesis.
Her Research interest include microbiology, infection control, antibiotic resistance, biocide resistance and viral hepatitis.
