Aim: To examine procedural and clinical outcomes of Left Main disease with the help of IVUS.
Methods: Patients with documented LM disease with distal ostial lesion like Left Circumflex artery and Left Anterior Descending Artery are mostly treated under the guidance of IVUS. IVUS is used to measure left Main Artery area and analyze lesion morphology before angioplasty. Use of post result IVUS is very imminent to assess the result and residual lesion.
Conclusion: IVUS is mandatory for LM artery angioplasty to conform stent apposition, residual lesion and side branch patency.
